A Fabulous West End Trip to See Oliver! đźŽ
Recently, Sefton Spotlights headed to London’s glittering West End for a truly unforgettable trip to see Oliver! — and what a day it was!
From the moment we boarded the coach, the excitement was palpable. The children were buzzing with anticipation, humming “Consider Yourself” and “Food, Glorious Food” all the way to the theatre!
When the curtain rose, we were instantly swept into the bustling streets of Victorian London. The performances were incredible — full of heart, humour and energy. The cast brought each character to life with such charm and skill, and the live orchestra made the experience even more thrilling.
There were plenty of “wow” moments throughout the show — from the huge ensemble numbers to the emotional solos — and it was lovely to hear the children gasping, clapping, and joining in with the standing ovation at the end.
After the performance, we talked about how much hard work and teamwork go into staging a production like this. The children came away inspired, full of ideas for our own upcoming show and brimming with admiration for the performers, musicians, and backstage crew.
It was a joy to share this experience together — a perfect reminder of why we love musical theatre!
