A Magical Reunion: Frozen Jr. Cast Screening Event
This week, the Sefton Spotlights cast of Frozen Jr. reunited one final time before the end of term for a special celebration and screening event — and what a wonderful way to mark the end of an unforgettable production!
The theatre might be dark now and the costumes packed away, but the energy in the room was just as electric as it had been on stage back in December. Children, staff, and families gathered together to relive the magic as we watched a full filmed performance of the show, complete with all the music, laughter, and heart that made Frozen Jr. such a triumph.
For many of our young performers, this was their first chance to see themselves in action — belting out "Let It Go," dancing through “Hygge,” and bringing Arendelle to life with such confidence and flair. The smiles, cheers, and proud whispers of "That’s me!" filled the room.
The screening also included a special five-minute behind-the-scenes film, giving everyone a glimpse of the hard work, rehearsal fun, and camaraderie that went into making the show. From first read-throughs to tech week giggles, it was a touching reminder of the friendships formed and memories made along the way.
It was a particularly poignant moment for our Year 6 cast members, some of whom have been part of Sefton Spotlights for up to three years. Saying goodbye is never easy, but we’re incredibly proud of all they’ve achieved and can’t wait to see what they go on to do next — on stage or off.
We’re so grateful to every child who brought their sparkle, commitment and joy to Frozen Jr., and to all the families, volunteers and staff who made the production such a success. This final celebration was the perfect way to reflect, applaud and remember the magic we made together.
Spotlights will return in September with more musical adventures — but for now, we wish all our cast a fantastic summer break!
