All auditionees should prepare a short section from a song to sing with an accompaniment backing track. You only need to sing the section indicated by the lyrics below. Some characters have a specific audition song that we would like to hear. For all others we recommend singing ‘Merry Old Land of Oz’. 

You can listen to the backing tracks for all of the songs from The Wizard of Oz (Youth Edition) here. There is a ‘Guide Vocal’ track for you to learn the song and an ‘Accompaniment’ track without vocals for you to sing with. We would like to hear you sing with the ‘Accompaniment’ track for the audition. You can find the lyrics on the following pages. If you are unable to access the audio tracks please speak to a member of the Sefton Spotlights team and we will provide a physical copy.
