Ruby Company

Ruby Company, you've been working hard bringing the music of Oz to life through dance!

Now it's time to make sure those moves stay in your memory so that when we return, we can spend our rehearsals making everything sharper, more exciting and more spectacular!

💃 Your MUST-DO Challenges

• Munchkinland: Practise the choreography Anisha has taught you. Can you remember the steps, the order of the moves and how they fit with the music?

• The Merry Old Land of Oz: Revisit the dance sections we've rehearsed. Concentrate on remembering the sequence without someone demonstrating in front of you.

• The Jitterbug: Go back over the sections you've already learnt. Think carefully about the character and style of the movement.

Only practise the sections you've actually been taught.

🌟 Your PERFORMANCE Challenge

A great dancer doesn't just remember the steps!

Choose one of your dance sequences and perform it with:

• Big, expressive character movements.

• Clear, confident actions.

• Energy all the way to the end.

• A face that tells the story - not one that looks like it is trying to remember the next move!

⭐ Your STAR Challenge

Put the music on and see whether you remember what comes next. If you get stuck, go back, try again and see how much you can improve!

✅ Are You Ready?

• I can remember the choreography we've learnt.

• I know how my moves fit the music.

• I can perform with energy and character.

• I can dance without always copying somebody else.
